Nikkei report shows Canon and Sony retain top spots, Fujifilm leaps over Nikon

Japan’s leading financial publication, Nikkei Inc. released ” Nikkei Industry Map 2027, ” which includes a ranking of digital camera shipments (market share) by manufacturer in the global camera market. The report shows Canon maintains its healthy number one market share, followed by Sony at number two. In the battle for third place, however, Fujifilm leapfrogged Nikon, according to TechRadar. (Note, the Nikkei report only covers Japanese brands, so it would not include action cameras like GoPro or Insta360 or European makers like Leica and Hasselblad.)
